Hungry Ghost

Also known as a "Preta" in Hindu mythology, and a "Gaki" in the mythology of Japan.

A "Hungry Ghost" from Indian/Japanese mythology. Forced to wander the earth due to their attachment to material possesions, Hungry Ghosts are wracked by insatiable hunger pains, lusting after money, food, or whatever material item caused them to forgo their spiritual development while living.

Their appearance is both wretched and pitiful.
